Rob has 19 years of experience in private equity, real estate, and public equity fund-raising, and has a large network of institutional investors and consultants in the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Prior to joining Pan American, Mr. Hays was Managing Director and co-head of Investor Relations at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. Prior to that, he spent 6 years with H.I.G. Capital where he was instrumental in raising capital for both flagship and first-time funds – including lower middle market and middle market buyout in the US and Europe, real estate, distressed debt, and growth equity. Prior to H.I.G., Mr. Hays spent 12 years with Franklin Templeton Investments in a variety of strategic, management, and capital raising roles.

He holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, a BBA degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University, and is a CFA charterholder.

Mauricio Borgonovo is Managing Director of Pan American Finance. Mauricio has 15 years of experience advising and operating companies in Latin America and the United States. During his career, he has participated in a variety of merger and acquisition, capital raising, recapitalization and leveraged buyout assignments.

Mauricio currently serves on the board of several companies in the Central American region, including General Business Machines (GBM), a company that in 1991 acquired six IBM subsidiaries in Central America and the Dominican Republic. Mauricio holds a MBA degree from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ed Miller is a Senior Managing Director Partner of Pan American Finance. He has extensive private equity investment, fundraising and TMT experience, and a vast network of HNW / family office and institutional investors in the US and Latin America.

From 1984 to 1996, Mr. Miller was co-manager of the largest Caribbean Basin and Latin American coverage team for Goldman Sachs, based in Miami.

From 1996 to1999, he managed a high yield fund for a large Latin American bank, managed a hedge fund, and was a founder and led the initial investment round in Answerthink (now known as The Hackett Group, NASDAQ: HCKT), an information technology consulting company.

Mr. Miller was the co-founder of Interprise Technology Partners, a $110 million technology venture fund which made seven lead investments between 1999 and 2002.

In 2002, Mr. Miller founded Ramsell Capital Management, Inc. as a vehicle to source investments in private equity transactions and occasionally to perform advisory services.

Mr. Miller has also been a Managing Director at Parmenter Realty Partners since 2002, where he has been in charge of all aspects of documenting and raising their second, third, and fourth institutional funds. In 2006, Mr. Miller established Ramsell Dining, LLC, to make a platform purchase of 18 Burger King franchises and to roll up additional franchisees.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1984, Mr. Miller worked for Price Waterhouse in New York City in international tax for 4 years.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida Warrington College of Business and the Levin College of Law. Mr. Miller is previously certified as a CPA and a prior member of the New York Bar.

Ben Moody is President and CEO of Pan American Finance, which he co-founded in 2003 in Miami, Florida, and of PAF Securities, our broker-dealer subsidiary.

Ben has over 30 years of M&A advisory, project finance, debt & equity capital raising, and restructuring experience, including 25 years in commercial and investment banking and 5 years of private equity & operating experience. For over 20 years, he worked with businesses and their owners including family offices, fund managers and institutional investors in Latin America, the Caribbean and the U.S. markets.

Ben has extensive experience in the Media, Tech and Telecom sector. From 1998 to 2001, Ben served as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Ibero American Media Partners (“IAMP”), a $500 million private equity platform jointly owned by the Cisneros Group of Companies and Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. IAMP made investments in the pay television, broadcast TV, radio and internet sectors: in 1998 acquiring the Cisneros Television Group (“CTG”), where Ben was Vice Chairman, and in 2001 merging with El Sitio to form Claxson Interactive Group (NASDAQ: XSON). Throughout his tenure at IAMP & CTG, Ben was responsible for negotiating, executing and integrating 15 acquisitions and investments, and for raising the debt and equity capital to finance them, along with performing his duties as CFO.

Prior to IAMP & CTG, Ben served as Managing Director at Violy, Byorum & Partners in New York, an investment banking firm focused on Latin America, and held prior positions with Citicorp Securities and Continental Bank, living and working in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London.

Ben is a director of various private companies and is advisor to the ALS Recovery Fund. Ben is a graduate of the University of Oxford.
